Humens

Founded in 1855, Humens is a manufacturer of sodium carbonate and bicarbonate for a wide range of industries, including healthcare, food and cosmetics. Resulting from a carve-out by Seqens, Humens is based near Nancy and has a subsidiary in Singapore.

Humens controls the entire value chain, from salt and limestone extraction to the sale of finished products.

Raymond Sinnah, CEO since 2014, aims to lead the company’s energy transition. In 2023, Cèdre invested in Humens alongside the majority shareholder Leto Partners, in order to support the company’s commercial development and its decarbonisation ambitions, which will notably involve the commissioning of two new boilers: Novawood (biomass boiler) and Novasteam (waste incinerator).
