Douces Maternelles

Douces Maternelles is a network of independent private schools founded in 2016, offering a bilingual French-English education based on active learning methods in accordance with the national curriculum.

The group welcomes children aged 2 to 12 in its 21 kindergarten and elementary schools located in Paris and Boulogne.

Its educational approach is grounded in kindness, emotional support, and respect for each child’s individual pace, fostering autonomy, self-confidence, and excellence by nurturing multiple intelligences.

Classes are limited to 10–12 children and led by two teachers, one of whom is a native English speaker, ensuring a balanced and immersive bilingual environment every day.

In 2025, Cèdre acquired a minority stake alongside the founders of Douces Maternelles to support the group’s development in the Île-de-France region and beyond.
